Georgia-based Marlow’s Tavern expanded into the Sunshine State a few months ago, so Orlando residents and visitors can now enjoy this upscale dining experience at Pointe Orlando on International Drive.
The location at Pointe Orlando seats up to 215 guests with indoor seating as well as an all-weather patio. And in keeping with the cozy, inviting nature of a local tavern, the restaurant’s interior features exposed brick walls, dark wood accents, large leather booths, and communal tables.
Add to this friendly yet private atmosphere a staff of cheerful and knowledgeable servers and the creative expertise of the chefs, and guests can expect to be treated to unique versions of classic American dishes. At Marlow’s Tavern, your first visit won’t be the last if you are looking for a restaurant that has its own personality and a friendly atmosphere. The ambiance is comfortable and lively without being flamboyant and loud, and most importantly, you will enjoy American dishes with a local flair.
I would like to add that Marlow’s Tavern was a pleasant surprise.
Am not a fan of chain restaurants, being married to a chef and to the hospitality industry leaves me very little leisure time. I say this because I choose restaurants carefully. I want to go to a restaurant #1 that has its own personality. This has everything to do with the culture of and atmosphere projected by the staff. #2 ambience, a comfortable and lively without being flamboyant and loud. #3 presentation and last but not least tasteful food.
In a nut shell Marlow’s tavern is all of the above and more. Very impressed with the service. The food was delicious and the presentation was magnificent. At the end of the day what a restaurant wants is the return patronage, and I would not only return to Marlow’s Tavern, but I already started enticing the staff to refer our guests to Marlow’s.
What a delightful lunch!
I especially enjoyed the filet mignon – mine was cooked to perfection – medium rare. The flavor was wonderful and the steak virtually melted in my mouth. O yeah, and the Killer Calamari appetizer was the best. Or was the Ahi Tuna Poke the best?
The atmosphere was most pleasant with the outdoor dining opportunity or indoors at bar, booths and the whole place gave a nice cozy, nearly “pub” feeling. Private but friendly.
When I return, I’d love to try the flatbread – it sounds great as an appetizer as do the J.T.’s Kettle Chips. Maybe make a meal out of a couple of appetizers. Then perhaps I’ll plan a weekly outing to Marlow’s Tavern to work my way through the burgers and sandwiches side of the menu – one-by-one .
I especially appreciate the fresh & local sourced foods prepared after my order was given. The difference that makes in taste and flavors was apparent in each dish. It is also great to hear the back-stories for some of the menu items’ creation.
It seems that everyone involved with Marlow’s has a passion for what they do.
